A tropical formal garden sprang from this concept, utilizing influences from Ibiza, Spain to the structure of a typical Palm Beach garden. We flanked the residence with dark wood beamed trellises for bright red Bougainvilleas and purple Petreas. The Wood Beams carry over to Pecky Cypress covered porches with barrel tiled roofs. Macarthur Palms are placed at the base of the two center columns and line up directly across the pool. Accentuating this verticality from the residence into the garden we placed bamboos along the East and West boundaries. Anthuriums, Shell Gingers, Cheniles, and Shrimp Cocktails add hues of pinks, reds, and mauves into the garden. Contrasting, hedged Gold Mounds sculpt and direct the visitor to the dock and water's edge.
The swimming pool is surfaced with Pebble Tec's Midnight Blue which gives the water the unique color and blends with that of the distant waterway. The extra wide pool coping provides a distinct linear edge to the lawn, while the opposite edge undulates to the curvature of the landscaping.

Creating a courtyard, the curved driveway was replaced with one of rectilinear proportions. A raised planter with Green Wave ferns, Jasmine on a wired trellis, and containers of Dwarf Pie-Crust Crotons provide screening for the gate controls.
